CLIENT: Private Developer
This is the last phase of the three phases of the Greenwich Square scheme. This one involved one of the biggest courtyards inside of a building block in London.
The proposal has thickly planted areas around terraces, and amenity spaces in the centre area, including play and seating areas.
All the proposal is a podium garden with a car park beneath it. We wanted to ensure that enough privacy was achieved by minimizing overlooking by having long lines of trees with enough separation from windows. We wanted to separate spaces by using high planters with clumps of multi-stem trees.
Private terraces have big areas of planting in front so no one of the terraces would feel intimidated by the public using the courtyard. Terraces would also benefit from year-round interest with the selected planting.
This project was developed under Outerspace Landscape Architects.
